Le Grand Union High School District Logo

Le Grand Union High School District is proud to be a Community School District, transforming our schools into vibrant hubs that support the whole child by uniting students, families, and the wider community. We are integrating academics with essential health and social services, youth development, and community engagement — all built upon four core pillars. By fostering these dynamic partnerships, we aim to boost student achievement, strengthen families, and build healthier, more connected communities in Le Grand. Learn more about how the Community School model is positively impacting our students and district by watching the video below!

The Four Key Pillars of Community Schools

Community schools are built on four key pillars:

Integrated Student Supports
Addressing out-of-school barriers to learning through partnerships with social service agencies and coordinated access to health, mental health, and other services.
Collaborative Leadership and Practices
Shared decision-making among educators, families, students, and community partners to guide school planning and improvement.
Family and Community Engagement
Actively engaging parents, caregivers, and community members as partners in student success and school improvement.
Expanded and Enriched Learning Time and Opportunities
Offering before- and after-school programs, summer learning, and enrichment aligned with student interests and needs.
