Dear District Families,
The success of an event is measured in many ways and also measured in terms of safety. Le Grand Union High School District is working to ensure that all individuals are safe. In the process of keeping our students, staff and community safe, we have implemented the The StopIt App reporting system. We commend individuals for utilizing the anonymous reporting system.
On Thursday, May 30, 2024 an anonymous individual reported a possible shooting that may occur during graduation. In the process of keeping our stakeholders informed we want to communicate the safety steps that will be taken to ensure the safety of all.
Steps for Senior Breakfast and Graduation: May 31, 2024
Senior Breakfast
Doors open at 7:15 AM
Breakfast 8:00 AM
Graduation:
Gates open 6:30 PM
Graduation at 8:00 PM
The extra safety steps will be as follows:
All individuals will enter at the front gate
Individuals will be going through a Scanning process
All bags and backpacks will be searched
Law Enforcement will be present
We are sharing this information as part of our ongoing efforts to keep you informed about incidents and safety process that will be occurring during Senior Breakfast and Graduation.
Student and staff safety are a top priority at Le Grand Union High School District, and all safety policies and procedures will be implemented to keep our campus safe.
